Bridlevale Drive /Cheviot Hills, CA

This project was a new Contemporary house in Cheviot Hill’s Country Estates. This design was put through the Homeowners Assoc. of Cheviot Country Estates, to allow for regulations in regards to their Architectural Requirements. Thus not many Contemporary homes are built in this area.

The home has open spaces and brings into it some Contemporary African symmetry and finishes. The homes includes 5 bedrooms 31/2 bathrooms and is approx. 3800 sq.ft. Slate floors are incorporated into the entry and bathrooms and all have cherry wood mill work throughout. The Living, Dining and kitchen areas have Large oak plank flooring with a natural finish. All vertical grain dug fir wood windows and doors have a single glass center (one light). Dual Pain. This feature continues in the clerestory windows above the Living area. Interior doors have a laminated frosted glass with kerf jamb (no casing). Huge Kitchen with Granite counters and Stainless steel appliances form an open plan lifestyle to the Living. Entry and Dining Areas. Cathedrals ceilings flow upward from the dining room to the gallery and continue inside the bedrooms.

A custom bamboo railing and floating wood staircase highlight the natural feel and flow throughout the space. The entire Home is pre-wired for computer networking, HDTV, CCTV, Recessed speakers and home theater in Den area. Additionally there is a Central vacuum system and Radiant heat in all bathrooms. Master bathroom has a 4’x6′ steam shower and large jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a custom cherry closet area. The house has an African theme with Contemporary clean finish. This comes together as a luxurious, comfortable, warm and model home, which Warren enjoyed with his family for many years.
