Designers Bob and Cortney Novogratz had recently moved from New York to Los Angeles and bought an old 1930’s Victorian home in Hollywood Hills. The house is 7200 sq.ft and sits on a hillside with 4 stories.
The house was old and in disrepair and needed a major renovation.
We stripped the house completely and updated the integrity with a Structural retrofit throughout.
New Mechanical, plumbing and Electrical with smart home components were incorporated.
Torrance steel windows and smooth white plaster finish on the exterior.
Energy efficient roof with spires and custom sheet metal work.
New balconies and railings were incorporated into Bedrooms and Dining area. All areas of the home were opened up as much as possible to raise ceilings and create more open spaces. Cathedral ceiling in the Master.
Outdoor Entertainment area with fireplace and BBQ were placed near the Kitchen on the main floor.
In the basement we added a bathroom and made a space for a Music room and Kids hang out. The Basketball court is on the same level outside.
The floor above the basement is the Girls rooms and the theatre. Under the stairs they incorporated a mini bar and small sitting area.
The main floor accommodates the Living, Dining and Kitchen with the older boys room, on suite bath, powder, pool bath and Laundry. The Upper floor is the Master Bed, bath, closet and the 3 Younger boys room with bathroom and closet.
The spiral staircase and floors were updated with New German Engineered flooring. Fireplaces were rebuilt correctly and finished with a smooth plaster face.
New Interior cabinetry, countertops and tile throughout.
The Novogratz finishing touches, make the interiors unique to their own taste and style.
